The college has full fledged National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit for students sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources Development since, 1985. The unit consists of a trained Programme Officer and has the capacity to accommodate 50 volunteers. The overall objective of this scheme is to develop a sense of working for services to the community amongst the students with, 'Personality Developement with Social Developement'. This enables the students to understand the community, identify its needs and their role for providing solutions and develop a sense of civic responsibility, team spirit, leadership qualities, problem solving capacity and to practice national integration.

The students put in a minimum time of 120 hours in each academic year for service. They are also required to attend NSS Camps, Special Camps, and National Integration Camps. It is suppose that the camps should have a special theme oriented to the rural developement, disater management,health and sanitazatin,aforestation etc.The NSS unit of this college has organized the All India National Integration Camp. The participants were trained on different aspects of Agricultural Engineering. The NSS unit of this college regularly organizes the tree plantation programmes in and outside University campus.

This NSS unit so far has received 7 “State Level Best Volunteer Awards” from the Maharashtra Government.Shri. D.M. Gaikwad who acts as the Programme Officer for NSS has been awarded with the “Best Programme Officer Award”

The specail residencial NSS camp of 7 days is organized every year in village.During this camp NSS volunteers follow a schedule of work starting from morning yoga,cleaning campain,developemntal work,group disscussion,motivation and cultural programmes,street plays, dumb shows, demonstrations, slogans and lectures. Posters, pamphlets,handbills containg message of rural developement are distributed to villagers. On the last day of camp a rally is organized in the village conveneying the message to all. Over the year specail events like birth anneverseriesn of eminent leaders, social reformer,special days like Independence day, Republic day,Human rights day, world health day,world enviorment day, Krishi din,Savidhan Divas,Shahid Divas,Womens Day etc are celebrated with motivation to the NSS volenteers.

Every year on the occasion of Republic Day, Blood Donation Camp and Free Blood Group Checkup Camp are organized in collaboration with Civil Hospital, Ahmednagar.
