Each student, who registers in the beginning of academic year, is a member of students’ council. For every 15 students, one class representative is nominated by the Associate Dean on merit basis. The Chairman of students’ council, necessarily from the 3rd year B. Tech class having highest marks at the end of 2nd year with good record is nominated by the Associate Dean. Various subject matter committees are formed for the smooth functioning of the students’ council. Each committee has two members and a secretary along with a staff advisor. All extracurricular activities such as social gathering, sports, debating and elocution competitions and any other allied activities are planned and managed by the students’ council through the respective subject committees. The qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, cooperation, and ‘working as member of the team’ get developed through the various activities of the council.
